Char Kueh Tiaw (fried kueh tiaw) - Penang

This is Penang's Char Kueh Tiaw, the most famous dishes of Penang. Actually I felt the it's nothting special of it compare with the fried kueh tiaw of my hometown. The different of Penang's Char Kueh Tiaw is that it was cooked with Charcoal, but it was also expensive and small portion.

Curry Mee (noodle) - Penang

This is Penang's curry mee, it tastes like Kuching's laksa but it has different ingredients compare with Kuching's laksa. I like this dishes, but most people might don't like the ingredient as it consisting pig organs and pig's blood as well. It has clams, squids, pig organs and blood, long bean and etc ingredients.

The noodles are also mixed from different types of noodles, but if you don't like mixing of noodle types, you can always select particular noodles only. It also serves with a scoop of spicy spices which customer can mix themselves how spicy they wants witht the curry mee.

Asam Laksa - Penang

Before stir the ingredients

After stirred the ingredients

This is how famous Penang' asam laksa looks like. It's cook using "Lou Shu Fan", mixed with cucumber, meat floss and etc spices. Not a bad dishes but it might not suit most people's taste.

It tastes sour and spicy, tastes not bad but it made me feel a bit weird about the mixture. I don't think those who like sour or spicy food will definitely like the taste. But if go Penang, it's a must try dishes.

Cendol - Penang

This is called "Cendol", it's a Malaysia local ais dishes. It's consists of red bean and the green colours "Cendol", mixed with sweetening milk and ais. For Penang's cendol, I feel that it's a bit different from the cendol i tasted in different city.

Penang's cendol used coconut milk instead of sweetening milk and they did put some salt inside of it, making it tastes sweetness and a bit salty. Personally I still prefer Kuching's cendol as they used sweetening milk instead of coconut milk, because I don't like my ais syrup tastes a bit salty.

Hokkien Mee (noodles) - Penang

This is one of the recommended food of Penang, it's called Hokkien Mee. Personally I like this noodles' soup a lot, it's spicy and taste very nice as it mixed some spicy sambal inside the soup. The noodles are mixed of different type of noodles, and it's non-halal food as it serves with pork.

Ais Kacang - Penang

This is Penang Ais Kacang, taste very nice and full of ingredients. It has red beans, red bean paste, sweet corn, jelly, sea coconut and etc. On top of those ice mixture, a scoop of ais-cream was topped as topping. Guess how much was it, it's only RM1.50. Nice~
